RAOI Mastership
An RAOI Mastership is the second step towards validating your proficiency and continued expertise in your profession. RAOI Membership and Fellowship is mandatory to apply for Mastership. Applicants must meet the case requirements and requisite CE hours specified below in order to qualify. The Mastership is suited to professionals who have moved from the established basic proficiency stage to the early advanced stage. Successful applicants will be awarded a RAOI Mastership Certificate with a validity of 3 years and a medal. After 3 years, Masters will be required to revalidate their certificate. This can be done at the time of Membership renewal.
Mastership Requirements:
1. Cases
Case requirements for submission: 30 completed cases with at least 2-year follow-up. Candidates must submit a listing of 60 completed cases on the case documentation form section of the application form. Details of documentation for the cases are listed on the Mastership form.
At least 20 cases should have a difficulty level of medium to advanced.
All cases must be adequately documented and submitted digitally as a PowerPoint.
2.CE hours:
Candidates to submit proof of completion of at least 100 CE hours in the preceding 3 years (attained either through online courses or seminars or teaching courses)3.Compulsory written and Viva assessment
4. Photograph and a current Curriculum Vitae
5. RAOI 3-Year Advance Membership Fee: US$/€/£ 450
6. RAOI Mastership Application Fee: US$/€/£ 600
7. RAOI Mastership Examination Fee: US$/€/£ 300
The examination fee has to be paid directly to the examiner.
- All fees are strictly non-refundable
- If a candidate is unsuccessful in the examination, then the examination fee will have to be paid again on subsequent attempts, each time, directly to the examiner.
RAOI Mastership Maintenance Requirements:
- 1. RAOI Masters must be active Member to retain their Mastership. The Mastership certificate issued will bear a validity of 3 years. After 3 years, Masters must ensure they renew their RAOI Membership AND Revalidate their Mastership certificate. Non-renewal will result in delisting from the Members and Masters directory. If the renewal is not done within a year from the date of expiry, past dues will have to be paid should the applicant decide to renew in future.
- 2. Submit evidence of a minimum of 30 CE hours annually at the time of renewal for revalidation of Mastership certificate.
- 3. Attendance to at least two RAOI Annual Conference or the National Annual Symposium of the candidate’s specialty in 3 years
- Fees payable at this time to receive a new Mastership certificate is:
- 1. RAOI 3-Year Advance Membership Fee: US$/€/£ 450
- 2. RAOI Mastership Revalidation Fee: US$/€/£ 200
- Only one Revalidation Fee is applicable for all credentialing status (i.e. a candidate has to revalidate more than one credential e.g. Fellowship and Mastership) if re-validation and 3-year membership fee is paid at one time, totalling US$/€/£ 650. All the updated certificates will be provided with a validity of 3 years.
