RAOI Diplomate
An RAOI Diplomate is the third and usually the next higher step for most professionals towards validating and recognizing your proficiency and continued expertise in your profession. RAOI Membership, Fellowship and Mastership is mandatory to apply for Diplomate. This is to ensure that the applicant has met the requisite standards at each level to reach the current level. Applicants must meet the case requirements and requisite CE hours specified below in order to qualify. The Diplomate is suited to professionals who have achieved consistent success in their profession and are capable of handling complex scenarios. Successful applicants will be awarded a RAOI Diplomate Certificate with a validity of 3 years and a medal. After 3 years, Diplomates will be required to revalidate their certificate. This can be done at the time of Membership renewal.
Diplomate requirements
1. Cases
Case requirements for submission: 50 completed cases with at least 2-year follow-up. Candidates must submit a listing of 100 completed cases on the case documentation form section of the application form. Details of documentation for the cases are listed on the Diplomate form.2.CE hours:
Candidates to submit proof of completion of at least 150 CE hours in the preceding 3 years (attained either through online courses or seminars or teaching courses)
- Compulsory written exam and Viva assessment
- Photograph and a current Curriculum Vitae
- RAOI 3-Year Advance Membership Fee: US$/€/£ 450
- RAOI Diplomate Application Fee: US$/€/£ 900
- RAOI Diplomate Examination Fee: US$/€/£ 400
- All fees are strictly non-refundable
- If a candidate is unsuccessful in the examination, then the examination fee will have to be paid again on subsequent attempts, each time, directly to the examiner.
RAOI Diplomate Maintenance Requirements:
- 1. RAOI Diplomates must be active Members to retain their Diplomate status. The Diplomate certificate issued will bear a validity of 3 years. After 3 years, Diplomates must ensure they renew their RAOI Membership AND Revalidate their Diplomate certificate. Non-renewal will result in delisting from the Members and Diplomate directory. If the renewal is not done within a year from the date of expiry, past dues will have to be paid should the applicant decide to renew in future.
- 2. Submit evidence of a minimum of 40 CE hours annually at the time of renewal for revalidation of Diplomate certificate.
- 3. Attendance to at least one RAOI Annual Conference or the National Annual Symposium of the candidate’s specialty in 3 years
- Fees payable at this time to receive a new Diplomate certificate is:
- 1. RAOI 3-Year Advance Membership Fee: US$/€/£ 450
- 2. RAOI Diplomate Revalidation Fee: US$/€/£ 200
- Only one Revalidation Fee is applicable for all credentialing status (i.e. a candidate has to revalidate more than one credential e.g. Fellowship, Mastership and Diplomate) if re-validation and 3-year membership fee is paid at one time, totalling US$/€/£ 650. All the updated certificates will be provided with a validity of 3 years.
